  Guide for authors of communications in the Iberoamerican Congress on Biotechnology  
 
 

Poster format:

In the section of the website -programa- is specified the day you must have placed the posters for exhibition and defend them. Those who are assigned on June 6, will leave the poster placed on 5 June in the posters room and must remove it the day 6 at the end of the day. Those assigned on June 7, should place the poster this morning between 08:45 h.-09: 00 h. and should remove it at the end of the day, and those assigned on June 8, should place the poster in the morning of the day 8 between 08:45 h.-09: 00 h. and should remove it at the end of the congress. The posters room will be provided with adhesive material to paste the poster in the corresponding panel.

Every day, during coffee breaks and lunches, an evaluation committee for each symposium, will tour the posters exposed and could ask the authors for their work. Those committees will select the Best Poster of each Symposium, whose author will receive an award at the Closing Ceremony of Congress BioIberoamérica 2016.

Poster must have A0 size: 841 mm width x 1189 mm length. The poster must include: Introduction, Objective, Methods, Results and Conclusions. The poster can include (if authors considered) graphs, images, etc. The poster could be written in one of the three official languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

Oral format:

The authors, who have an oral communication, have to be in the room at least 30 minutes before the session starting. They have to bring their communication in electronic format in order to bring up in the computer. Oral communication has to include the objectives, the results obtained, and the methods employed to achieve them. It has to include the main goals of the work. Communications could be presented in one of the three languages of the Congress: English, Spanish and Portuguese. Oral communication must last between 13 and 15 minutes.
